Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. The Admissions/Intake RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for assessing the medical bond behavioral needs of the patient and assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information.
Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-IVR and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training. Training may be obtained during new hire orientation.
